I was always fascinated by the golden dome shining bright in SanFrancisco most busiest street Civic center. Though i have always taken snap from bus top or while changing the bart train today i got this day off to tour the dome inside out with my in laws.

Architect, Arthur Brown not be credited only for the classic, French Beau-Arts style, with a massive Dome city hall but other buildings in San Francisco too such as the, Coit Tower, and Opera House.
The city hall Building that remains the fifth largest dome in the world was rebuilt after originally destroyed in the 1906 earthquake. So much of education let's go for some clicking.

An impressive public building anchoring the Civic Center Plaza it is really worthwhile to visit inside. But the more i adore the dome the more i wished i get one more chance to remarry my husband as magnificently as Marilyn Monroe had. Yes, in 1954, blonde bombshell, Marilyn Monroe married Joltin' Joe Di Maggio in a private room at San Francisco city hall.

There was a surprise as we gave a hard push to the door. A female model posing for some magazine and lot of cameras around. Shy and pretty she didn't mind me capturing her smile.

Now the main feature comes the Rotunda, featuring an intricate design made of Tennessee pink marble. At certain times of the day the marble reflects light in an amazing way adding drama to wedding photos. And i got to know why couples love being hitched here and how the pictures get those gold pink in their wedding albums.

Classic features of columns, balustrades and pillars, completed with statues and decorative painting it strike me it will be such a fun to play hide and seek royal style!

One last click as i wave bye to intricately finished 23.5 carat gold leaf dome.
Crossing the road other side on Civic road there was a much famous farmer's market festival going on. I got a chance to give my in laws an opportunity to venture through the local produce and also the people. From vegetables to fresh berries, honey and orchid plants Farmer's market had it all direct from their land at a price so cheap.
Open year round, rain or shine except on some national holidays like Christmas and New year you can count on these non profit making farmers shop and get the best deals. The best part they accept all type of cards.
