Birth story of-Anika
It has been a very very long time since i last posted something and feel like i haven't blog FOREVER! Now that i am here i took out my precious midnight hour(which i reserve for watching Netflix) to type down about my most beautiful experience.
I became a mother, a proud mother to my daughter Anika. Born on 1st august 2018. 8pm in the evening when rain swept away the scorching summer welcoming her with little shower of blessings and warmth.

Let me begin from the start. I woke up like every ordinary day heavy with the weight of my baby to pee realizing my water broke. Thankfully, my mom was with me who became a big help to rescue me to hospital providing emotional support to Ani, who was more terrified of the outcome. We reached the hospital avoiding morning traffic and chaos. While i was dripping water continuously i grew more embarrassed to walk through the hospital corridor. The staff was helpful to provide me wheelchair and as Ani filled all the paper formalities i was screaming breakfast! breakfast! breakfast!
Fifteen minutes later i was transferred to OR and was strictly on liquid, glucose and needles and more needles. So that meant no food till my baby is out. My doctor was super calm and helpful to open my cervix and relived me with three kind words, 'you will do good'. With the passing hour as the labour pain grew i knew it is time to endure the most fortunate pain. Let me tell you I always wanted to feel this pain and was curious how it actually felt like. And hell yes it was inexplicabe and to feel yourself opening up with a little life coming out, you start believing in miracles.
I did my best to endure it till another 3 hours and when it became difficult i had to ask for epidural. With no food since morning i knew i was weak to take it any further. Ani held my hand as i squeezed him every time with epic pain(i loved this part)

The epidural did well giving me a momentary peace and very soon my Anika was born. The little life that me and Ani made, made us so proud. Ani already start taking the fatherly form. He was quick enough to learn the feeding session and changing diaper.
I watched my mom hovering over the new member in awe while mother in law was feeling proud to be promoted to Granny. The rain grew harder and the whole Atlanta got washed. Friends came and left. I found strength to hold Anika in my arms and all that i could admire was her big gleaming eyes. Welcome to the world!

It was a long day and a long way is ahead of us to prove ourself as a good parent.
